All girls belong to one of 6 Houses and work together as a team in a number of ways. House points are given and every Monday, the House Bear, Mr Snugglepuff, is awarded to the House who has gained the most points for the previous week.
Girls also participate in House competitions, including Sports Day.
Our houses are:
The names were chosen by the girls and represent the outstanding achievement of women, who overcame extreme challenges to make an impact on the lives of others today.
Year 6 girls are elected as House Captains by the other girls in the House. Leadership skills are supported as they take responsibility for running the House and leading House meetings.
Each academic year, each House chooses a charity and is given half a term in which to organise events to raise money for this. Recent examples include pyjama day, odd sock day, a discothon and 'bring your teddy to School day'. All events are actively looked forward to by the girls and enjoyed by all.
Presentational skills are encouraged as the House Captains prepare and present an Assembly explaining about their selected charity so that all the girls have an awareness of the causes they are raising money for.
