The wellbeing of any girl at Sutton High is of paramount importance to us. Our girls hop, skip and run into School in the mornings as they love to be here. All around the School, you will find warmth and vitality and a joie de vivre from the whole community.
All girls are known to us individually and we find and nurture their strengths, whether these be academic, musical, sporty, creative etc. Of equal importance is to give our girls the confidence to have 'a go' , take a risk and that it's ok to get something wrong as this is how we learn – an essential life skill. Having an all girls' environment ensures that we can focus on this and our girls have the opportunity to become confident young citizens and leaders of the future.
Small class sizes enable us to offer significant personal and individual attention. We employ various strategies to ensure that we react quickly to any worries or concerns from a girl for example: worry boxes.
We have an active School Council who meets regularly. Girls are voted by their peers as the representative for their form following the presentation of their manifesto.
Every year we have a Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl who are selected by the staff. These highly important and prestigious appointments are announced at our Annual Prize Giving at the end of the Summer Term. Their roles include representing the School and leading the School Council.
