Dear Parents and Guardians,
Yesterday was Moving Up Day in the Prep School and New Girls' Day in the Senior School. There was a fantastic sense of excitement as girls looked ahead to the opportunities and discoveries that are to come in September. It was also a beautiful day, with the gardens looking their best to welcome new joiners.
In the Senior School, it was great to see our new Year 7s in one place for the first time, getting to know each other, meeting their form tutors and experiencing the school at work. They had a memorable day completing a series of challenges that tested their lateral thinking and teamwork skills. When they are next together, they will be preparing to embark on another adventure, this time located at an activity centre on the Isle of Wight.
This afternoon I have been to visit one of our Year 11s who is taking part in a fantastic work experience placement. I know from my colleagues who have conducted similar visits over the past week that the girls have been making the most of their opportunities and gaining invaluable insights into the world of work.
My colleagues also tell me that they have been blown away by the Lower School production of Mary Poppins, and I can't wait to experience it for myself this evening.
I look forward to seeing you tonight if you will be there, or next Friday if you are coming to the Summer Party. Do also look out for our Year 12 art exhibition at the Royal Marsden hospital, which starts next month. Those of you who attended our own summer exhibition will have seen the artistic talent we have in our ranks, and we are delighted to have arranged a showcase for it in a public space.
Thank you so much for your support.
