At Sutton High School, our focus is very much on sustainability and on eco-awareness and we are keen to ensure that we take every opportunity to reduce, re-use and recycle.
Over the summer, a new Facebook group has been established, driven by one of our Year 7 parents, Mrs Shovelton, to ensure that our Sutton High School uniform is re-used as far as possible. The group will enable Senior School parents to either donate or swap their daughter’s outgrown uniform, or list it for sale.
If you would like to join the Facebook group, you can do so here:
(please note that you will need to be logged-in to Facebook to join the group)
There have also been some subtle changes to the school uniform in Senior School. There is no longer a need for parents to purchase a school coat from Stevenson’s, although their navy blue coat is very useful for trips as it has a fleece and waterproof layer. There is a new Senior jumper, with a blue piped collar design, but there is no need for parents to purchase this jumper until their daughters have outgrown the old one. The move to a new jumper was at the request of girls who found the older style woollen jumpers too heavy and too bright. There was a slight error in the Key Dates document regarding sock colour. Girls are permitted to wear white, navy or black socks, but please note that these should be ankle length – trainer socks are not permitted.
