Congratulations to the Sutton High School GCSE Class of 2025 with over a quarter of all grades at a 9 (five times the national level) and a third of pupils attaining a clean sweep of A*/A grades (9-7). Over Two-thirds of all grades were at the A*/A (9-7) level, with almost half at the old A* (9/8). This is against a national trend of just 21.9% grade 7-9, with Sutton High School pupils attaining over three times this amount.
We are very proud to offer a broad and exciting range of GCSE subjects, and 100% A*/A (9/8) grades were achieved by pupils in Music, French and German, subjects which are often under-represented.
Special congratulations go to the five pupils who achieved straight 9 grades in all their GCSE subjects (Milcah, Jemima, Ellie, Nina and Sonia).
Beth Dawson, Head of Sutton High School, commented:
“Our GCSE Class of 2025 is a wonderful group of young people who have contributed a great deal to our school community, particularly through performing arts, work within our cultural diversity and outreach projects, and sport. I am delighted that they are now able to celebrate academic success, too, with this strong set of examination results. They are well-set for A Levels in our Sixth Form and we look forward to supporting them as they make this exciting transition.”
