We were really pleased that Misha’s mum, Ms Soliman, was able to visit Year 3 recently to tell us about life in modern day Egypt. Through her talk and PowerPoint, we learnt about the amazing places to visit, the adventurous activities you can do there, their delicious food and rich, diverse culture. Egypt may also be where you might consider studying later on in life!
It was lovely to find out so much about Egypt and it was a great introduction to our topic: ‘The Ancient Egyptians: What were their significant achievements?’ Ms Soliman presented us with a wide range of accomplished Egyptian women from nowadays and we are looking forward to comparing their modern success stories with those of the ancient Egyptians this term.
