Students in the Art Department always work hard for examinations and we usually see excellent results. Last year the 2025 cohort was very special because the A Level results were exceptional – all students achieved outstanding outcomes and amazing results. Their hard work and talent placed them as the best A Level Art and Photography results across all of the GDST schools. This achievement is wonderful and I am very proud of all the students. Many have chosen to continue their creative journey beyond Sutton following Degree’s in Fine Art, Computer Science and Art, Graphic Design, Film and Photography and Architecture University.
In light of these achievements we thought it should be celebrated and so organised a special exhibition and invited all students and parents back to the school in January.
Attended by Parents and students as well as the Head, Will Wearing and Dr Philip Purvis, the new Director of Education at GDST the students were awarded a commemorative prize and certificate.
I want to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate their success and thank my amazing Department – Steph Cartwright, JP Winter, Jade Lindo and Helen Feeney, and to say well done to our most recent Art and Photography alumni:
