Feathers, Facts and Feathers: Year 1’s Brilliant Birdworld Day

Year 1 had a fabulous trip to Birdworld on 2^nd February.  We have been learning about birds and particularly the penguins that manage to survive some extreme conditions in Antarctica.  At Birdworld we saw a whole range of birds from around the world and discovered that they use their beaks and claws for different purposes.  We saw the Humboldt penguins being fed and listened to their keeper give an interesting talk all about them.  We learnt so many new facts, but the keeper was impressed with the knowledge we already had about the penguins and the questions that we asked. A great day was had by all!

Setting Sail for Success: Year 4’s ‘The Pirates of the Curry Bean’

Year 4 showed off their dramatic talents and impeccable comic timing in their production of swashbuckling adventure, ‘The Pirates of the Curry Bean’. Its success was well deserved. The girls worked incredibly hard on their lines, songs and dances and learnt how to bring their characters to life on the stage. They were involved in behind-the-scenes tasks too such as prop-making, scenery painting and programme design. Above all, they developed their superpowers of kindness and collaboration, helping each other to achieve more than they ever thought they could.

Lighting Up Learning: Year 6s Brilliant Circuit Adventure!

On Tuesday 24th February 2026, we had a spectacular science lesson with a few Year 12s all about parallel and series circuits. First of all, we went outside to make a circuit, with one of us being the cell, another being a light bulb, and the rest of us wires. After we had done this successfully, we made adjustments by adding a switch, a buzzer and a motor. They were very impressed with our wonderful work, as we were very knowledgeable for our age! After this we went inside and drew a picture of a parallel circuit and a series circuit. Altogether we had a magnificent and fun time-all thanks to the amazing Year 12s and Mrs Marange!
