International Women’s Day 2024 at Sutton High School

Our trailblazing Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Ambassadors helped plan and organise our annual celebration for International Women’s Day by holding an open-air event located near the hugging statue on the central lawn.

Students listened to music by prominent female artists selected by our EDI Ambassadors. They were encouraged to inspire inclusion by creating a sense of belonging and empowering their peers. The event closed with invigorating and thought-provoking speeches by Temi and Maddie (Year 12) who spoke passionately about discrimination, women’s rights and their hopes for the future.
