A selection of our talented Sixth Form Design Technology students entered the prestigious Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) Schools Starpack Competition.
Our students were very successful in the Y12 category. Edie H was awarded the 1st prize for an innovative food packaging concept ‘Free’ aimed at undergraduate students passing their examinations. Lara S was also selected as a runner-up with a creative ‘sweet treat’ packaging solution designed for pre-teens. The Starpack schools competition involves a project-based task that aims to develop a greater understanding of packaging, design and materials. Both winners were prep school pupils who have thrived in Design & Technology over the years. A number of our Year 13 now intend to study Product Design or Engineering at University. We are very proud of their achievements in the competition. All students produced exciting design proposals with in-depth research on packaging and sustainable materials.
