On Thursday 12th February, Year 12 students and their parents were invited to our annual post-18 options event which began with talks and ended with a mini careers fair.
We were pleased to welcome City St George’s, the University of Surrey, the University of Warwick, Gleeds, Leading Education and the University Guys – who talked about becoming a Paramedic, BASc degree courses, project management and quantity surveying roles with Gleeds, applying for competitive universities and studying abroad.
But a special mention must go to our wonderful Sutton High School alumnae who are all currently studying at university and were able to share their advice, hints, and top tips when considering post 18 pathways – Aya reading Biochemistry, Charlotte reading Biomedical Engineering, Chloe reading Human Sciences, Ekaterina reading Banking and International Finance, Lucy reading English and French and Rameen reading Pharmacology. Lucy also gave an insightful talk centred around the fact that it’s okay to not have everything figured out in Year 12.
