Our Senior Tennis team had a fantastic day at the GDST Tennis Rally in Bristol, competing against 11 other schools with three strong pairs. In the morning pool stage, the team narrowly missed out to Oxford but secured solid wins against Shrewsbury and Portsmouth. Pair One, (of Lillie, Y9 and Florence Y9) performed well, finishing 5th overall after a competitive match against Putney and a strong win over Bromley. Pair Two (of Georgina, Y7 and Lucy, Y8) shone throughout the day, winning 5 out of 5 matches played, finishing 1st after an exciting tiebreak victory (7–2) against Wimbledon and a commanding win over Bromley, earning a well-deserved gold medal. Pair Three (of Isabella, Y9 and Maryam, Y9) also impressed, finishing 7th ending the day with great wins against Northwood and Streatham & Clapham. Overall, the team finished joint 4th out of 12 schools—a brilliant achievement and a testament to their hard work and team spirit.
