Sustainability at Sutton – #1
We all know Climate Change is one of the biggest issues facing our planet. Matters around the environment flood the news and there is never a drought on what is wrong. Here at Sutton, we are taking many steps to play our part.
Did you know….?
- We have solar panels on the STEAM, Refectory, Sports extension and Fernwood buildings. Our combined PV arrays can generate 30kw.
- We have invested heavily in LED Lighting in recent years with any rooms refurbished over the past 3 years converted to LED. We’ve also switched to LED in the pool, sports hall, several prep classrooms and any emergency light replacements. We’re expecting to be 100% LED by the end of 2024.
- We have separate waste streams for Food, Recycling and General waste.
